How Does Endovenous Vein Ablation Works?

At Team MD, we carry out endovenous vein ablation in steps, where we start with ultrasound mapping to locate the affected vein and plan the treatment. Then, we use local anesthesia to numb the area around the veins to ensure your comfort during treatment. After that a catheter is inserted into the vein through a small puncture and a laser beam is applied to heat the walls. With this heat, we close the damaged veins and direct the blood to healthier ones.

Conditions

Condition Treated with Endovenous Vein Ablation

At Team MD, our orthopedic specialists provide expert evaluation and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. From spine and joint pain to sports injuries and advanced surgeries, our goal is to reduce pain, restore mobility, and help you get back to your daily activities.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency

This is a venous condition where leg veins fail to efficiently return blood back to the heart causing blood pooling in the legs. It leads to swelling, pain, heaviness, skin changes and ulcers. Endovenous Vein Ablation closes the damaged vein and improves blood circulation.

Venous Reflux

Venous reflux is a condition that arises when leg veins don’t work properly making the blood flow back to legs instead to the heart. It increases pressure in veins leading to pain and discomfort. Here Endovenous Ablation seals the faulty veins and stops reflux.

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are one of the most common diseases that happen when the veins get relaxed and stretched causing the blood pool in veins. These veins appear to be enlarged and twisted causing pain and discomfort. With Endovenous Vein Ablation, we close the damaged veins and redirect the flow to healthier veins.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are small, thin red, blue, or purple veins visible near the skin’s surface. They appear like spider webs or tree branches and are mainly a cosmetic concern. Sometimes they cause mild pain and discomfort. Endovenous Vein Ablation addresses the underlying condition that causes these veins.
